Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect Thai Nexus and display shipping rates at WooCommerce checkout.
Create a Thai Nexus Account
First, you need a Thai Nexus account to get your API key. The account is free to create.
Already have an account?
Skip to Step 2 and get your API key from the dashboard.
- Visit the Thai Nexus website and click "Create Free Account"
- Fill in your name and email address
- Verify your email and complete registration
Get Your API Token
Copy your API token from the Thai Nexus dashboard. You will paste this as the User Token in the WordPress plugin.
- Log in to your Thai Nexus dashboard
- Go to Profile Settings and open the API Token section
- Click Generate API Token if needed, then copy your token
Keep your token secure
Never share your API token publicly or commit it to public code repositories.
Download the Plugin
Download the Thai Nexus WooCommerce Shipping plugin ZIP file, or install it directly from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
Install the Plugin in WordPress
Upload and activate the plugin through your WordPress admin panel.
- aGo to your WordPress Admin panel - Plugins > Add New
- bClick "Upload Plugin" at the top of the page
- cClick "Choose File" and select the downloaded ZIP file
- dClick "Install Now", then click "Activate Plugin"
Configure the Plugin
Open the Thai Nexus Logistics plugin in WordPress and complete the Settings tab.
- aIn WordPress Admin, open TNXL Logistics from the sidebar (under WooCommerce)
- bClick the Settings tab at the top of the page
- cUnder API Authentication, paste your User Token from Step 2Found in: Profile Settings > API Token
- dUnder Store Origin Address, enter your shipper details: Shipper Name, Phone Number, Address, City, State / Province, Postal Code, and Country
- eReview the Privacy & Data Disclosure section, then click Save Settings
Settings saved successfully!
Next, set up a WooCommerce shipping zone so Thai Nexus rates appear at checkout.
Set Up a Shipping Zone
Add Thai Nexus as a shipping method in WooCommerce so customers see live rates at checkout.
- aIn WordPress Admin, go to WooCommerce > Settings
- bOpen the Shipping tab, then click Shipping zones
- cClick Add zone or Edit an existing zone (e.g. Everywhere)
- dSet the Zone name and Zone regions for where you ship (use Everywhere to cover all destinations)
- eUnder Shipping methods, click Add shipping method, choose Thai Nexus Shipping, and make sure it is enabled
- fSave the zone, then continue to configure shipping details on each product
Required for checkout rates
Thai Nexus must be added to at least one shipping zone. Without this, customers will not see Thai Nexus options at checkout.
Add Shipping Details to Each Product
Thai Nexus uses product weight and dimensions to calculate accurate shipping rates. Update every product you ship internationally.
- aGo to Products > All Products and open a product to edit
- bIn Product data, click the Shipping tab
- cEnter the product Weight (kg)
- dEnter Dimensions (cm) - length, width, and height
- eCheck Is Document? if the item is a document shipment (leave unchecked for regular goods)
- fClick Update and repeat for each product in your catalog
Shipping class is not required
You can leave Shipping class as "No shipping class"-only weight, dimensions, and document status are needed for rate calculations.
Set Up Commission Fees
Configure automated commission fees in the plugin. These are added at checkout on top of shipping rates.
- aIn WordPress Admin, open TNXL Logistics and click the Fees tab
- bUnder Commission Rules, click + Add Rule to create a new rule (or edit an existing one)
- cIn Condition, choose when the fee applies (e.g. Cart Subtotal Range), then set Min Subtotal and Max Subtotal (set max to 0 for unlimited)
- dIn Fee Calculation, set the Fee Label (Customer Facing), choose Fee Type (e.g. Fixed Price), and enter the Amount
- eAdd more rules if needed, then click Save Rules
Customer-facing at checkout
The fee label you set (e.g. "Commission Fee") is what shoppers see on the checkout page when a rule matches their cart.
Set Up Box Inventory
Define the physical boxes you ship with. You can add an unlimited number of boxes-the system uses a 3D packing algorithm to find the smallest box where every product in the cart fits, helping you save on shipping costs.
- aIn WordPress Admin, open TNXL Logistics and click the Boxes tab
- bUnder Box Inventory, click + Add New Box
- cFor each box, enter a Box Name, inner dimensions (length, width, height in cm), empty weight (kg), and max weight (kg)
- dAdd as many boxes as you use-small, medium, large, and any custom sizes
- eClick Save Box Inventory
Smart 3D box selection
At checkout, our 3D modeling algorithm tests your box inventory and picks the smallest box that fits all cart items inside (using inner dimensions). Accurate product dimensions from Step 7 help the algorithm choose the right box and quote the lowest possible rate.
Test Checkout and Go Live
Run a test order to confirm rates appear correctly at checkout. Your customers will:
- Add items to the cart and proceed to checkout
- Enter a destination address and see live Thai Nexus shipping options
- Compare carrier prices and delivery estimates before placing the order
You are all set!
Thai Nexus rates are now available on your store checkout.
Troubleshooting
Rates not showing at checkout?
- - Make sure the plugin and WooCommerce are both activated
- - Verify Thai Nexus is enabled under WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping for your zone
- - Enter a full shipping address on checkout (rates load after the address is valid)
- - Confirm each product has weight and dimensions under Product data > Shipping
- - Clear your WordPress or caching plugin cache after changing settings
"Connection failed" during API test?
- - Verify your API key is correct (no extra spaces)
- - Check that your hosting server allows outbound HTTPS requests
- - Make sure your Thai Nexus account is active
